BackBox Linux 4.5.1 released posted by admin on Tue, 03/08/2016-2:14 PM after receiving some demand issues that users have with the installation of VM BackBox team has decided to delve into the deeper issues and after an investigation involving almost the whole team has come to the conclusion.
Long story short, BackBox 4.5 has experienced some of the problems associated with the addition and vmware-tools that cause the malfunctioning of some parts. The finding is that the vmware-tools and additional guests-contrary to certain kernel version BackBox released.
BackBox team eventually fixed the problem after finding the root cause and would like to announce that for the first time we have a revisioned version BackBox release, which is the BackBox 4.5.1
In this revision the release we have fixed a problem with VMware and Vbox APT and is fully functional and hopefully with more problems.
